MOVING TO A NEW COMPUTER
Release the old computer first.
- Open LayerQuote → License on the old computer.
- Select “Deactivate this computer.”
- Install LayerQuote and activate on the new computer.
Your workspace is separate from the license. Back it up from Settings and restore it on the new computer.
OLD COMPUTER UNAVAILABLE
Request an activation reset.
Reply to your purchase receipt or use the seller contact shown on that receipt. Include the platform and the last four characters of the masked key shown in LayerQuote, if available.
Never send G-code, customer files, payment details, or your full license key in a support request.
ACTIVATION WILL NOT CONNECT
Your local work remains safe.
Check the computer date, internet connection, and firewall, then retry. A failed online check does not remove an existing valid offline activation.
New activation and deactivation cannot be completed while fully offline.

Does LayerQuote upload my G-code or quotes?
No. G-code, customer details, cost profiles, quotes, and workspace backups stay in the local application-data folder.
What does activation send?
The license key, a random installation identifier, and a platform label are sent to the licensing provider. Payment-card data is never stored by LayerQuote.
Can I use one purchase on Mac and Windows?
Yes. A LayerQuote 1.x license allows up to two activated computers total, shared across Mac and Windows.
Does a perpetual license include every future version?
It covers LayerQuote 1.x permanently, including 1.x updates that are released. A future paid major version is not included.
Can LayerQuote guarantee a profitable quote?
No calculation tool can replace checking the inputs. LayerQuote makes the assumptions visible, but the shop remains responsible for material, machine, labor, tax, lead-time, and pricing choices.
PRIVACY
Local by design.
LayerQuote does not include advertising, behavioral analytics, telemetry, or cloud synchronization. Activation is the only normal product action that contacts the licensing service.
Purchases are processed by the checkout provider under its privacy notice. LayerQuote stores the local activation record using the operating system's encrypted secure storage. Uninstalling the application may leave the local workspace folder in place so that it can be recovered.
LICENSE TERMS
Plain-language essentials.
One purchase grants the purchaser a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual LayerQuote 1.x license for up to two computers controlled by that purchaser. The software, key, or activated installation may not be shared, rented, resold, sublicensed, or redistributed.
LayerQuote is provided as a calculation and document-preparation tool. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected. Refunds follow the policy shown at checkout and applicable law. The complete EULA and privacy notice are included with every desktop package and are available from the License screen in the app.
